Check overdue and today's follow-ups, upcoming site visits and your KPI targets. Deal with anything already due before starting new outreach.
Before calling, emailing or writing to a business, search the Hub first. Check whether they are already being contacted, have a site visit, have booked work, are an existing client, or are linked to another company in the group.
Use Call Mode for cold calls and the relevant sector Call Card. The aim is to identify the right person, understand what they currently have in place and, where appropriate, offer a free no-obligation site walk-around.
Log calls, emails, letters and other outreach. Add who you spoke to and a short summary of what happened. If it happened, put it in the Hub so another team member does not unknowingly contact them again.
If they ask you to call again, send information or contact somebody on a particular date, set a follow-up date. It will appear on the Dashboard as part of your daily to-do list.
Record Site Visit Booked, enter the date/time and add a useful note. Then immediately add the appointment to Broadleaf's normal booking system.
If a commercial company books work, open its profile and select + Job booked. Enter the booking date, amount, work booked and useful notes. Do this even if another member of the team took the booking.
Only select Record Paying Work once the job has been completed AND the client has paid their invoice.
Bonus 1: first completed + paid job.
Bonus 2: one repeat completed + paid job within the following 12 months.
Maximum: two bonuses per company/client.
If companies are part of the same group or otherwise connected, use Associated businesses / group to link their records. This helps Broadleaf build the relationship across the wider organisation.
Check the Dashboard again. Clear anything due today, make sure every interaction has been logged, review tomorrow's follow-ups and check your KPI progress.
Good records matter more than perfect notes. Who you spoke to, what happened and what happens next is enough.
